The Straide Olympics

2021 the year of the Olympics. Unfortunately we cannot be in Tokyo this summer so we made our own. On an overcast day in June the pupils of Straide School did up their mad-hair and put on the colours of their chosen nations - Germany, Mexico, Italy, Madagascar, Russia, France, Netherlands,Denmark, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan and of course Ireland.

Over the month of June we competed in different events - Long jump, javelin, soccer, quizzes, relays and water events. The nations medal race was competitive.
